FAQ's

How does BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray work?

The spray coats your nasal passages, creating a physical barrier that temporarily blocks the virus spike proteins from entering the cells ACE-2 receptors in your nose. This helps block the first step of a COVID-19 infection at the main entry point and helps prevent the virus from multiplying to give your immune system time to fight off the viral invasion.

Is the nasal spray effective against COVID-19 virus?

BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray has been trialed in a variety of settings, including humans and laboratories. It has been shown to be effective at blocking both Delta and Omicron variants of COVID-19, in addition to the most common colds
and flus.

Has the nasal spray been tested on humans? On which COVID variants?

Clinical trials have been performed involving a small number of unvaccinated patients with confirmed, early-stage COVID-19 who were randomly assigned to use BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray or a placebo nasal spray. These studies show that BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray is safe and well tolerated. The studies also suggest that BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray may decrease symptoms, speed up
COVID clearance, and decrease viral load.

In the initial study, for example, four times more participants using BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray were free of symptoms compared to the those using the placebo spray after 6 days of nasal spray treatment. For the subset of participants who tested positive for COVID-19 on day 6, those using BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray had less coronavirus in their nostrils three hours after their last dose compared to the control group, but larger studies are needed to confirm the spray reduces viral load and this is not a stated claim or intended use of the BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray

Is BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray nasal spray safe to use?

The key ingredient of BioSURE® Pro Protective Nasal Spray, is ELAH (ethyl lauroyl arginine HCL), which has been used in mouthwashes and as a food preservative for decades and enjoys a high safety profile. Extensive studies have shown that this ingredient metabolizes quickly into two safe compounds commonly found in human diets.
